Locum CEO

We offer this service during the start up phase of a new organisation or service, whilst the permanent CEO and senior team are being recruited. Or where a Board part ways with its CEO in unexpected circumstances and there may not be a suitable internal candidate to act in the CEO position.

The start up service allows an organisation or consortium to rapidly gear up for a new contract or service with the confidence that it is being established by an experienced CEO supported by a team of well credentialled Associates.

Where an existing CEO has recently departed an organisation it can be preceded by a period of instability for the company and the Board may wish to get a clear idea of “where the company is at” to inform the recruitment and briefing of the new CEO.

Strategy3 provides a 3 to 4 month CEO Locum service in these circumstances. The locum is provided by a former CEO with at least 10 years experience in the sector.

The locum service includes:

• Stabilise the current situation through transparent engagement with staff
• Undertake the recruitment of or assess the capabilities of the current senior team
• Engage with key customers and clients to ensure seamless service delivery
• Review the financial position
• Review contract performance
• Deal with HR issues
• Ensure the continuation of business decision making
• Assist with the recruitment of the new CEO
• Provide a detailed briefing paper to the Board and the incoming CEO about the issues faced by the business.
